FairWind completed installation of 14 Vestas 3.6 MW turbines in Ulyanovsk, Russia.
It was the first wind turbine project in the country for both FairWind and client Vestas. Situated on the Volga River over 800km from Moscow, the project was a new frontier for both organizations.
To tackle the challenge, FairWind leveraged the support of a recently established regional hub in Kiev, Ukraine – administrating the entire Russia, Ukraine, and CIS regions.
In additional to FairWind’s global network of resources such as manpower and tools, local technicians were recruited and utilized on the project. Close cooperation with Vestas, originally FairWind’s first customer, allowed for greater confidence when establishing such a project in a completely new area.
