FairWind completed assembly and installation of 22 Enercon E-92 wind turbines at the Cerro Grande projectt site in Uruguay for client Wobben Windpower.
Over 80 people were involved on-site, including local technicians trained to participate in the project.
This highlighted FairWind’s ability to take on new clients in completely new markets and succeed using both global and local resources.
Of note is that in almost 10 months no serious or minor accidents were reported, showcasing a strong safety and QHSE culture.
Interestingly, representatives from FairWind met informally with María Auxiliadora Delgado, the First Lady of Uruguay, to discuss FairWind’s efforts in the country. She was enthusiastic about our organization’s efforts to bring economic opportunity and wind energy knowledge to the region.
