Job Summary:

As a Tender Manager, you will be responsible for securing profitable projects through effective tendering processes. Your role encompasses overseeing pivotal tendering and contract management processes that are essential for project profitability and excellence. With your in-depth understanding of electrical standards and regulations within the offshore wind industry, you’ll play a central role in identifying potential project opportunities, preparing competitive tenders, negotiating contracts, and ensuring meticulous contract administration to guarantee compliance.

Your responsibilities extend to leading and coordinating internal tender teams, as well as fostering and nurturing strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders. By effectively managing communication and collaboration throughout the tendering phases, you’ll facilitate smooth operations and drive positive outcomes.

Continuous learning and adaptation are key aspects of this role. You’ll be expected to stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and evolving best practices to optimize tendering and contract management processes continuously. Your ability to leverage this knowledge to streamline operations and enhance efficiency will contribute significantly to our competitive edge and sustained growth in the renewable energy sector.

Main Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and qualify potential project opportunities within the offshore wind industry.
  • Prepare comprehensive and competitive tenders, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and timelines.
  • Lead and coordinate internal teams to ensure timely and accurate bid submissions.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions to secure favorable agreements that protect company interests.
  • Manage and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations, scope of work, budget, and deadlines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams throughout the tendering and project delivery process.
  • Stay updated with industry knowledge and best practices, particularly in electrical standards and regulations, to drive continuous improvement in tendering and contract management processes.

Criteria of Success:

  • Successfully win tenders aligned with budget, project goals, and company capabilities.
  • Meet project deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Secure favorable contract terms and ensure strict adherence to obligations.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, with certifications in project or commercial management preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a requirement, with proficiency in Mandarin considered a strong advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant industry and field, with experience in the offshore wind industry considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in electrical standards, construction knowledge, and tender/contract documentation.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills are essential.
  • Advanced MS Office and CRM system skills, preferably SalesForce, are desired.
