We are looking for a person who will provide professional support and advice to the business on ESG matters. Maybe it is you?

As ESG Lead you will be familiar with the Company HSEQ Policy and you will take an active role in the compliance and improvement of FairWind’s IMS. In this role you will have legal responsibilities under Country specific HSE legislation to follow Company processes and procedures. Also, you will be responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates and for any persons visiting them while on Company premises.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Development of the ESG team, ensuring the necessary capabilities to support the business globally
  • Development and implementation of our sustainability strategy, goals and targets on reducing our environmental footprint
  • Providing positive leadership on ESG
  • Organising and facilitating ESG task force team meetings
  • Supporting the development and promotion of the ESG culture
  • Collaborating with departments on legal requirements including         European directives, taxonomy and corporate sustainability reporting
  • Supporting tender submissions
  • Conducting environmental and climate risk assessments
  • Conducting ESG audits
  • Measuring and reporting on sustainability metrics, scope emissions and key performance indicators
  • Leading the development and delivery of sustainability reporting to our internal stakeholders
  • Quarterly reporting on ESG performance to external stakeholders
  • Staying informed on industry trends, regulations and best practice in sustainability
  • Liaising with external partners on sustainability projects
  • Participating in ESG industry forums, providing updates to the business

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

  • Environmental science, sustainability, business or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in sustainability or environmental management
  • Passion for sustainability and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability principles and legal requirements
  • Forward thinking on environmental science based targets and initiatives
  • Proficiency in data analysis and sustainability reporting tools
  • Ability to raise standards and drive transformational change
  • Ability to adapt, connect and engage with people
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
