We’re growing our workforce and creating new roles for installation and service technicians across the UK to support the growing portfolio of onshore and offshore projects.<\/p>

The past 12 months have been pivotal for our UK operations, with the region now one of the company\u2019s main growth engines. We increased our UK workforce by over 20 people, building on the opening of an Aberdeen hub in 2024. This included two new regional sales managers to drive expansion, with the business now seeking technicians to support increased business demand.<\/p>

FairWind has committed to further investment across the UK and Ireland in 2026 \u2013 including more senior appointments and the opening of an operational base in the West of Scotland.<\/p>

We have recently been awarded a contract by Vestas to deliver the full installation scope for 44 turbines at Sanquhar II Wind Farm in Scotland. Developed by CWP Energy Ltd, the project will be the fourth largest onshore wind farm in the UK and constitutes one of the largest investments in UK energy infrastructure.<\/p>

Ren\u00e9 Damgaard, our Regional Director for UK & Ireland (UKIE), commented: \u201cThe wind sector has always been defined by progress, but our journey is shaped by the people on the ground. Our growth plan isn\u2019t just about market entry \u2013 it\u2019s about building local roots in the UK and Ireland. This means investing in the economy and reskilling programmes to develop local expertise, strengthen the domestic renewables supply chain, and establish a long-term, sustainable presence in the region.<\/p>

\u201cIt\u2019s essential that turbines are installed safely, efficiently and responsibly to ensure the long-term reliability and productivity of the assets. By combining our global experience with on-the-ground insights, we are helping developers minimise risk, streamline construction and deliver turbines that perform at their peak throughout their entire lifecycle.\u201d<\/p>

With UK offshore wind employment jumping 24% to nearly 40,000 roles and Ireland committing \u20ac8 million to offshore development, we are positioning ourselves at the heart of the energy transition. As more wind farms continue to come online, we’re seeking motivated individuals to ensure turbines are installed safely, efficiently and responsibly to ensure the long-term reliability and productivity of the assets.<\/p>
