Level‑Specific Requirements
Level I – Basic
– Entry‑level profile suitable for candidates with some hands‑on experience in composites, construction, or mechanical fields.
– Candidates must have the physical ability to climb wind turbines, kneel, carry up to 23 kg, and work under various weather conditions.
– GWO certifications, basic knowledge of composite repairs, and familiarity with rope access or confined space work are considered an advantage.
Level II – Intermediate
– Requires 1 to 3 years of hands‑on experience in wind turbine blade repair, including composite and structural repairs.
-The candidate should be proficient in techniques such as scarfing, laminating, vacuum bagging, and resin curing processes, and be capable of carrying out most repairs independently with minimal supervision.
– GWO certifications, OEM‑authorized blade repair certifications (GE, LM, Siemens, Vestas, among others), IRATA or SPRAT certification, and confined space training are highly valued.
Level III – Advanced / Senior
– Requires more than 3 years of solid experience in blade repair, including advanced structural repairs and major damage.
– Specialized knowledge of composite materials and advanced repair techniques is essential, along with proven leadership experience in field environments, coordinating or supervising teams.
– Advanced OEM‑authorized blade repair certifications, advanced IRATA or SPRAT certification, valid GWO certifications, and previous experience as a Lead Technician or Site Supervisor are highly valued.
We are currently looking for Blade Repair Technicians to join our team, with full availability to work internationally on various projects, following rotation schedules typical of the wind industry.
Entry Level – Level I (Basic)
You will support blade repair operations by performing basic composite tasks, initial blade inspections, surface preparation, and general on‑site activities. This entry‑level position is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude who wish to start and develop a career in the wind energy sector, working in an environment where safety is the top priority.
Intermediate Level – Level II
You will independently perform intermediate‑level blade repairs as well as structural repairs on composite materials, ensuring that all completed work is properly documented. This role requires solid experience in composite repairs, the ability to lead or support operations on suspended platforms, and availability to guide and train Level I technicians, always aligned with FairWind’s strong culture of safety and quality.
Advanced Level – Level III (Senior)
You will take on the most complex blade repair challenges and act as the technical lead on site for repair teams. You will apply your advanced expertise in composite restoration and structural reinforcement to return damaged blades to optimal condition, leading by example in safety and quality standards.
This senior role requires expert‑level technical skills, the ability to coordinate with OEM specialists, and proven experience ensuring that all repairs are executed safely and according to the highest quality standards.
