FairWind Wind Turbine Installation Gets Attention in Finland
A project in Jeppo, Finland has garnered the attention of local people and media. Installation of two turbines is ongoing for client Vestas.
On Monday, April 26th, 2017, an audience gathered at the site to witness the lifting of blades, reports Osterbottenstidning Tidning.
The “sight-seeing” required workers to create additional barriers, to ensure the safety of the public.
“Each blade measures 62 meters and weights nearly 15 tons,” Finnish media reported.
Vestas was FairWind’s first customer, and today both organizations have a close partnership, recently strengthened by a global agreement with an estimated volume of 25 million euros.
