Description

We are looking for a Self Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounting activities of an assigned legal entity, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, and maintaining compliance with internal policies as well as applicable accounting and tax regulations.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field. 
  • At least 2 years of experience in an independent accounting role. 
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and Polish tax regulations. 
  • Practical experience with the Polish Accounting Act and tax legislation, particularly VAT and Corporate Income Tax. 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. 
  • Good organisational and time management skills. 
  • English language skills at B1 level or above would be an advantage. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be considered a strong asset. 

Your Role

  • Maintain the general ledger in accordance with statutory accounting requirements and applicable tax regulations. 
  • Review financial documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance, while overseeing the proper flow of accounting documents. 
  • Record day-to-day accounting transactions, including revenue, expenses, prepayments and accruals, bank statements, fixed asset depreciation and provisions. 
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies. 
  • Prepare and process payments through the banking system. 
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities. 
  • Prepare tax returns and support corporate tax compliance, including VAT, Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Withholding Tax (WHT). 
  • Prepare statutory financial statements as well as reports required by the Central Statistical Office (GUS) and the National Bank of Poland (NBP). 
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including tax authorities, auditors and other regulatory institutions. 
  • Cooperate with external accounting providers supporting the Company’s international operations.
